<p>9th Grade Toothpick Bridge Project- 40 pts </p>
<p>Before you begin your project you will be responsible for researching the various types of truss bridge designs. In a 1 page summary include the following information:</p>
<p>Name of the truss bridge you selected and why you chose it<br />
 The history of the bridge design<br />
Person or persons responsible for the design of the bridge<br />
Where an actual design of this bridge can be found<br />
Unique characteristics of the bridge<br />
Functionality of the bridge (how is it able to work)<br />
List the parts of the bridge and describe the function of each part<br />
An actual picture of the truss design in which you selected<br />
Directions:</p>
<p>Using the ‘Truss’ bridge design. Create a replica of the truss bridge you selected. Bridges must be able to withstand transportation and must be able to stand on their own. Bridges may be constructed on nothing more than a piece of cardboard. Bridges must at least 18 inches in length and 6 inches in height.</p>
<p>Materials:</p>
<p>The only materials in which you will be permitted to use for your bridge design will be:</p>
<p>Wood glue<br />
Flat or round toothpicks<br />
Piece of cardboard to support your bridge</p>
